One of the avenues of service of Rotary International is Professional Development which focuses on expanding professional networks, allowing members to exchange ideas with other leaders, and build skills through training. Through the years, Rotaract Clubs constantly seek inspirational speakers for their professional development lectures, seminars, and/or workshops.
The Rotaract Club of Manila launched the Speakers Bureau in 2009 to nourish the minds of young leaders through Professional Development. It was designed to bring the club’s best pool of young professionals closer to all participants of Rotary’s programs for young leaders such as Interact and the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA). Each member was equipped to conduct lectures and discussions on various Rotary programs and various fields of discipline.
In 2019, the Rotaract Club of Manila re-launched the Speakers Bureau and expanded the group of speakers by pooling young professionals from various friendship and twin clubs who are able to conduct discussions on relevant topics about Rotary programs and other relevant and essential topics to the Rotaractors.
On September 2, 2020, Pilipinas Rotaract MDIO sealed a strategic partnership with the Rotaract Club of Manila to mutually develop and implement Speakers Bureau nationwide and call it the Pilipinas Rotaract Speakers Bureau.
The Pilipinas Rotaract Speakers Bureau aims to pool subject matter experts within the Rotary network and offer them to Philippine Rotary and Rotaract clubs and districts needing such experts as resource persons for their trainings and conferences.
The Pilipinas Rotaract Speakers Bureau will serve as a database of subject matter experts from diverse fields such as, but not limited to, leadership, communications, personality development, project management, club administration, technical skills development, and Rotary/Rotaract operations.
