BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The Philippines has been battered by several typhoons and severe tropical storms this October to November 2020, including Typhoon Quinta (Molave), Super Typhoon Rolly (Goni), severe tropical storm Siony (Atsani), tropical storm Tonyo (Etau) and Typhoon Ulysses (Vamco).
These tropical cyclones caused massive flooding, storm surges, landslides, destruction of houses and critical infrastructures, as well as communications, power and water interruptions particularly in Luzon, the country's major island group, including the national capital region.
Thousands of Filipinos have been evacuated at school/community halls and are in need of support for food, clothing, health and sanitation necessities, including items that would protect them from COVID-19. Those whose houses have been heavily damaged also need support in rebuilding.
Various Rotaract Clubs in the Philippines rose to the occasion and launched disaster relief and rebuilding efforts to help our countrymen in need. Browse through the list below, organized according to geographical location, to know how you can probably support.
