RI BOARD JANUARY 2020 DECISION ON ANNUAL PER CAPITA DUES FOR ROTARACT
Last January 2020, the Rotary International Board of Directors established an annual Rotaract per capita dues fee structure of US$5.00 for university-based clubs and US$8.00 for community-based clubs beginning July 1, 2022. In exchange, Rotary International will offer new products and services for Rotaractors which they are yet to identify and announce. This new policy was met with mixed reactions from Rotaract and Rotary clubs, including here in the country.
OUR MDIO RESPONSE
In order to assess if our Rotaract clubs are ready for this new policy, Pilipinas Rotaract MDIO sees the need to understand first the costs being incurred by our members for Rotaract and see if this new imposition will be within the capacity of the local Rotaractors to bear.
SURVEY OBJECTIVES 1. Assess the annual expense of Filipino Rotaractors to organizational activities and projects 2. Provide districts and clubs with data that could drive decisions related to expenses and enhancing membership experience 3. Identify strategies on preparing our members in the implementation of this new policy which can be fed to district Rotary leaders 4. Obtain suggestions from Filipino Rotaractors on the additional services that they want Rotary International to offer
WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU! HOW TO SUPPORT
We want to know the pulse of the local Rotaractors. We need at least 374 Rotaractors to answer the survey to achieve acceptable 95% confidence level and 5% margin of error based on a population size of 13,579 members as of March 31, 2020. The survey will only take 10 minutes of your time but your potential valuable response may be the input that could transform the organization. Survey will be open until MAY 15, 2020.
SPECIAL CITATION FOR FIRST ROTARACT CLUBS AND DISTRICT COMPLETERS
We will recognize the first 25 clubs who will achieve at least 60% response rate from their members.
The Rotaract Club president must email email@example.com with the names of the members who have completed the survey.
The 60% response rate will be validated against the number of reported Rotaract club members in Rotary International as of March 31, 2020.
MDIO will also recognize the first district to achieve responses from 60% of the clubs in their district.
NEXT STEPS: Pilipinas Rotaract MDIO will collate the data gathered and conduct consultations with the districts to present a national report and position.
This Pilipinas Rotaract MDIO initiative is aligned with Rotary Action Plan Strategic Priority No. 4 - Increasing Our Ability to Adapt.
