To celebrate the 52 years of Rotaract in the Philippines that began with the chartering of the first PH Rotaract Club - Rotaract Club of West Negros College - the Pilipinas Rotaract Multi-District Information Organization (MDIO) conducted the Pilipinas Rotaract Digital Festival (DigiFest) which featured nine virtual engagement activities spread throughout September 2020.
The COVID-19 pandemic may have restricted the face-to-face interactions of Rotaract clubs but through the DigiFest, Rotaractors had an innovative opportunity to have multi-club and district fellowship as well as spread the spirit of positivity and enjoyment.
Thousands of Rotaractors across the country watched the competitions as these happen via Facebook live. More than 300 Rotaractors joined the virtual competitions and 63 of them emerged as winners bagging cash prizes and tokens. Some of the competitions were also conducted for donations to the End Polio campaign, the Rotary Foundation, and COVID-19 pandemic response efforts.
Replay of DigiFest activities can be watched at bit.ly/PHRotaractMDIOYoutubeChannel.
